METAL & DVST is an independent art space curated by award-winning multidisciplinary artist and interviewer Kelly Korzun.
Born in the hometown of Marc Chagall, a prominent French-Russian artist within the so-called École de Paris, Kelly grew up deeply influenced by his poetic and figurative style. After getting formal training in fine arts as a junior, she continued to explore other creative disciplines such as digital design, art direction, photography, editorial production, creative writing, and everything in between.
In 2011, she partnered with A Red Orchid Theatre (AROT) to provide art direction for the company’s annual benefit hosted by founding member, actor Michael Shannon. In 2013, succeeding a partial exhibition at AROT’s 20th Anniversary Gala, Kelly had her first solo art show Original Skin at Grand Bizzare gallery in Chicago, showcasing a series of fashion illustrations.
A year later, she launched metalndvst.com, a personal collection of in-depth interviews with the industry’s top emerging and established artists, which led her to becoming a contributing editor and interviewer at Musée Magazine (New York) and working alongside its founder Andrea Blanch, who started out her career as Richard Avedon’s protégé.
In 2020, Kelly joined The Artruist, a digital collective of artists united by a cause, and she continues to support nonprofits by donating 100% of her proceeds to Feeding America and NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
In 2023, METAL & DVST was announced as a part of the official lineup at OFFF Barcelona where Kelly presented her talk No Cure For The Curious, a dissected view on creative curiosity.
Spanning across multiple industries, Kelly’s work has been featured in Apple iTunes Rewind, Art On Link (NYC), The Artruist, Creative Boom, Tidal Magazine, The Overview, and The Creative Condition book.
Today, aside from creating digital content and ever-expanding her artistic vision, Kelly continues working across tech, art, music, media, and education.
